I’ve written about my love for pouches and the color yellow here and here so today, I will be sharing my fondness for my latest purchase: the Porto Novella pouch in the color butter.

I first heard about this brand while scrolling through Instagram and immediately coveted one for myself. I loved how it was giving The Row without The Row price point. Though it is no doubt a bit more costly than any other pouch or clutch I have in my collection, this is indeed a quality product worth investing in.
So after sitting on it for about a year, considering and reconsidering, I browsed through the website again. I have a lot of handbags, totes and small leather goods in neutral colors, so I wanted to try something different. The Novella pouch in the color Butter is a beautiful light yellow that is the exact shade of, well, butter. I bought it through the website and it shipped out the following weekday. My beautiful pouch arrived at my doorstep exactly seven business days after the order was placed.

The nappa leather is incredibly supple and pleasing to the touch. Surprisingly, it fits so many little knickknacks I need on a whim. I carry the pouch around in my work tote if I don’t want to haul my heavier bag around everywhere (especially inside clients’ homes).
What’s inside my Porto pouch
Just the basics, really:
Wired earphones
Wallet
Rhodia dotpad
Pen (my recent go to has been my Muji 0.38 pen in black)
Lip balm
Once the contents are inside, I close it by pulling the leather drawstrings that double as shoulder straps (yes, they fit over my shoulder!).
Next on my list is either the one in Espresso or Cognac (the latter of which ships out in December so perhaps an early Christmas gift for myself?)
